MyMedicineDiary ("we", "us", or "our") operates the MyMedicineDiary mobile application and website at mymedicinediary.app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
Account information: your email address and any display name you provide.
Medicine data: the medicines you add, including names, substances, strengths, forms, dosage schedules, and any notes you write.
Dose history: taken/skipped confirmations and timestamps used to build your adherence history.
Instrument readings: blood pressure values you log, together with the photo of your monitor's display used to transcribe them.
Photos: images of medicine boxes, pharmacy stickers, leaflets, and instrument displays that you submit for AI processing.
Device information: basic device identifiers and technical information used for session management and security.
Your medicine list, dose history, and instrument readings are health data and are treated as a special category of personal data under Article 9 of the GDPR. We only process this data on the basis of your explicit, revocable consent, collected when you register for an account. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account, which triggers cascade erasure of your data.
When you scan a medicine box, pharmacy sticker, or blood pressure monitor, the photo is sent to our AI processing subprocessor to extract text and identify the medicine or reading. Every AI-extracted value must be reviewed and explicitly confirmed by you before it is saved — nothing is saved silently or guessed. Anonymous trial scans (used before you create an account) are processed transiently and are never stored on our servers.
We share data with the following subprocessors, strictly to operate the Service:
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising. We may share information only with the subprocessors listed above, with caregivers you explicitly invite to a profile, or when required by law.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data, medicine records, dose history, readings, and photos (including copies stored in R2) are permanently erased. Backups containing your data are purged within 90 days of account deletion.
You have the right to:
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with encryption. Access to health data is limited to your account and any caregivers you explicitly invite.
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Medicines for a minor should be managed by a parent or guardian through a family profile on their own account.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise any of your rights, contact us at support@mymedicinediary.app.
